If I lost all my SEO clients tomorrow, here's the exact 30-day plan I'd run to rebuild:
Not going to cheat here, lets say I had to restart with no network, no contacts, no followers -
Here's the play:
Week 1
Pick ONE niche and build the offer
I'm not going broad and being everything for everyone.
I'm picking one vertical I know converts and has a lot of money to invest in search as a channel: SaaS, ecom.
Then I'm packaging one thing:
"We'll get you ranking and visible in AI for [X keyword type] in 90 days."
SEO purists will say it's not about keywords etc etc.
And I'd agree but...
I'm hooking with a keyword, because right or wrong, biz owners assign a commercial value to certain keywords especially if they investing in Google ads and bidding on that keyword.
In actual fact the campaign will involve lots of keywords and their site as a whole.
The point is that the hook is a simple offer, with a clear commercial outcome that doesn't have long commitment.
Week 2
Create 2 case studies.
I'd reach out to businesses in my niche and offer free work in exchange for a testimonial and results.
Can go for low competition longtail keywords to get results quicker.
I'll need social proof fast, and I'll be willing to work for free to get it.
Week 3
Post daily on LinkedIn
Every single day I'm posting one of the following:
- Strategies (give away everything)
- Lessons and mistakes learned from actual case studies
- Testimonials/Proof
I'm building credibility and inbound interest and giving a point of reference for potential leads that look me up.
Week 4
Launch targeted outbound
Now I'm ready to sell.
I'm using the same Loom tactic from my other post (https://lnkd.in/etjPcNfa):
- Find companies already paying for ads in my niche
- Show them the organic opportunity
- Send a custom 3-minute Loom with real data
Goal: 10 personalized outreach messages per day.
I only need a few to reply and convert on a call to hit a decent level of clients and income.
-
By day 30:
I'd have:
- Case studies (Either completed or still in progress)
- A steady flow of inbound from LinkedIn
- A handful of qualified sales conversations
- At least 1-2 signed clients at £5-10K/mo
Notice how this doesn't involve "branding", coming up with an agency name, building a website etc.
Many spend weeks building the perfect website, perfecting their brand and positioning, "researching".
I'd spend all 30 days outreaching to potential clients and proving I can deliver with case studies + building a profile on linkedin.
Manic speed and urgency beats perfection in the early days. You can refocus later.
If you had to rebuild from scratch, what would you do differently?
