Hormozi got asked a question at one of his workshops recently.
“How do I future proof my SEO agency”
“Start selling LLMSEO - otherwise known as GEO.”
Now, I’ve been talking about this recently, as it’s causing a stir on Linkedin.
People are getting a bit upset on Linkedin (of course) with the new acronyms, stating GEO is just SEO as usual.
But here’s the thing. I think what people are getting upset with is the new hyperbolic/viral posts about SEO is dead, GEO is the answer.
Of course these are BS. But not to be bundled in with SEO’s that have a genuine intention of helping other SEO’s and brands with their AI visibility.
Here’s the facts:
80% GEO is literally 80-90% having good SEO. Meaning, if you have good SEO, likely, you’ll have decent AI visibiity.
That being said, there are some things you focus on to improve AI visibility, such as Brand Mentions in listicles or reviews, community sentiment, and having a complete knowledge base of all products/services.
These for now form a small yet significant project that you can rightly call GEO, in my humble opinion. And agencies or consultants selling this as part of their SEO, or as a ‘bolt on’ are doing a pretty normal thing.
Brands are looking for this:

We should be delivering on what the market are asking for.
I have a guide here that details how to sell AI SEO to your clients: https://www.notion.so/fatjoedavies/how-to-deliver-AI-SEO-services-to-your-clients-223c493df76580c4938dcba790a6eeff
tldr:
Hormozi told agency dude to futureproof his agency by offering LLMSEO (GEO services)
Sell GEO or don’t. It’s up to you. Nothing wrong if you do in the right way, the market is asking for it. Just no need to argue about it on the internet (I’m trying not to, but can’t help it tbf).
Don’t sell GEO in a hyperbolic way, claiming SEO is dead etc. Not that you would. But I think that’s what starting the GEO hate on Linkedin. Or maybe some people don’t like change lol.
Anyway, that’s all from me…. here’s a meme I started but couldn’t be bothered to finish:
