This year at fatjoe we decided to do something a little different (and weird) for black friday this year.

Instead of just a discount, we gave it a theme, 'The Final Countdown'

Reason? Well we've put a countdown on the website, that goes down every time someone orders.

And we've set it at 2000 (as we speak its now at 1211!)

We also show a savings counter, which shows how much people have saved collectively.

We're hitting a few psychological marketing triggers here.

Scarcity, social proof, gamification and FOMO. All at once.

Because the final countdown gives 80s vibes, we based our whole marketing theme around the promo on 80s retro nostalgia. A simpler time, in this sea of AI BS.
